What precautions should be taken when charging an Electric Pallet Truck?

There are two main charging methods for an Electric Pallet Truck, one is charging with an external charger, and the other is charging with a built-in inflator. Today, let us take you to understand what precautions should be taken when charging an Electric Pallet Truck!

1. The design of the charging room should be safe and reasonable and meet the requirements. The explosion-proof gas chamber and ventilation facilities should be improved to prevent oxygen from being discharged. If there is too much hydrogen output, it will easily cause a fire.

2. Smoking is prohibited in the charging room and surrounding areas. Do not engage in open flame operations. If necessary, charging should be stopped for more than two days, and the charging facilities can only be operated after they are handed over.

3. Fireworks and firecrackers are prohibited in the charging room and nearby, and flammable and explosive items or food are prohibited.

4. Someone needs to be on duty during charging, and the on-duty personnel should check the voltage, current, electrolyte specific gravity and temperature changes at any time.

5. Prepare sufficient fire-fighting equipment in the charging room.

6. After charging, be sure to cut off the power supply before removing the bottle clamp to avoid the risk of electric shock.

7. The charging operation of explosion-proof electric vehicles should be entrusted to a dedicated person, and other people are not allowed to operate without permission.

Precautions before and after charging the Electric Pallet Truck:

1. Before charging, it is necessary to check whether the ground device on the power supply is firm, and whether the wires, instruments, and switches are intact.

2. The staff responsible for charging needs to wear acid-proof clothing, protective glasses and other protective equipment.

3. Before charging, check whether the battery has leakage problems. It is forbidden to place metal tools and other items on the battery to cause a short circuit and explosion.

4. When charging, it should be clamped with a conductive clip to avoid sparks, and the connecting wire needs to be insulated to prevent short circuits

5. The charging voltage and current cannot exceed the process requirements. If the electrolyte temperature exceeds 45°C, charging should be stopped

6. Each switch should be charged in sequence and cannot be reversed. The supply voltage and current should be adjusted and cannot be overloaded

7. After charging, it takes 1 to 2 hours to cover the bottle cap to prevent gas explosion

8. Waste sulfuric acid must be properly handled and purified for recycling. It is prohibited to dump it into the sewer at will to cause pollution

9. After charging, the wires should be connected, the power supply should be cut off, the battery should be rinsed, and the wiring position should be checked to prevent combustion caused by incorrect wiring
